Dear Moviegoers,
We are pleased to announce the much-requested film THE LEMON TREE /G\ is now screening.
Salma, a Palestinian widow, has to stand up against her new neighbour, the Israeli Defense Minister, when he moves into his new house opposite her lemon grove, on the green line border between Israel and the West bank.
The Israeli security forces are quick to declare that Salma‘s trees pose a threat to the Minister’s safety and issue orders to uproot them.
Together with Ziad Daud, her young Palestinian lawyer, Salma goes all the way to the Israeli supreme Court to try and save her trees. Her struggle raises the interest of Mira Navon, the Defense Minister’s wife, who is trapped in her new home and in an unhappy life.
Despite their differences and the borders between them the two women develop an invisible bond, while forbidden ties grow stronger between Salma and Ziad.
Salma’s legal and personal journey lead her deep into the complex, dark and sometimes funny chaos of the ongoing struggle in the Middle East, in which all players find themselves alone in their struggle to survive.

Finally, James Bond 007 is back in the action packed QUANTUM OF SOLACE (M) is also now screening!
I had the good fortune to have seen the film at a preview recently, and thoroughly enjoyed thenext chapter in the Bond series. Starring Daniel Craig, the film picks up only an hour or soafter the end of CASINO ROYALE and follows Bond's adventures while he chases a morepersonal vendetta after the death of Vesper, the first woman he has ever really loved, in Casino Royale.

TALE OF DESPEREAUX

Once upon a time, in the faraway kingdom of Dor, there was magic in the air, raucous laughter aplenty and gallons of mouthwatering soup. But a terrible accident left the king broken hearted, the princess filled with longing and the townsfolk despondent. All hope was lost in a land where sunlight disappeared and the world became dreary grey. Until Despereaux Tilling was born. A brave and virtuous mouse, Despereaux is simply too big for his small world. Though tiny, wheezy and saddled with comically oversized ears, Despereaux refuses to live a life of weakness and fear believing he was destined to be celebrated in the tales of chivalry he so adores. When he‘s banished from his home for not following the rules that society expects of a mouse, Despereaux befriends fellow outcast Roscuro, a goodhearted rat who can‘t bear to look in the mirror and hopes to live far from the grim underground of his kind. While Despereaux begins his noble quest to rescue Pea a princess who can‘t see beyond her distorted view of the world his pal Roscuro receives a painful rejection from her highness that sets him on a course of self destruction. Along their parallel adventures, the two encounter colourful characters from a serving girl who wishes to be a princess to the evil leader of the sewer rats, who plots revenge on humans from his fiefdom in the subterranean shadows he relishes but Roscuro can‘t abide. From the highest turrets of the glittering castle to the dankest dark of Dor‘s sewers, friendships will be tested as Despereaux and Roscuro embark upon a journey that will change the way they look at their world and themselves forever. In this tale of bravery, forgiveness and redemption, one tiny creature will teach a kingdom that it takes only a little light to show that what you look like doesn‘t equal what you are.

MARLEY AND ME

Marley is a yellow lab adopted by John Grogan (Owen Wilson), a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife (Jennifer Aniston). Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family. Adaptation of John Grogan's bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever.

BOLT

From Walt Disney Pictures comes an animated comedy adventure featuring a super-dog named BOLT (voice of JOHN TRAVOLTA), whose days are filled with danger and intrigue-at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet-a cross-country journey through the real world to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny (voice of MILEY CYRUS). Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and the help of two unlikely traveling companions-a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of SUSIE ESSMAN) and a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino (voice of MARK WALTON)-Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero.

HOTEL FOR DOGS

Hotel for Dogs, stars Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Lisa Kudrow, Kevin Dillon and Don Cheadle in a smart, funny comedy adventure that shows how far love and imagination can take you. When their new guardians forbid 16-year old Andi (Roberts) and her younger brother, Bruce (Austin) to have a pet, Andi has to use her quick wit to help find a new home for their dog, Friday. The resourceful kids stumble upon an abandoned hotel and using Bruce's talents as a mechanical genius, transform it into a magical dog-paradise for Friday - and eventually for all Friday's friends. When barking dogs make the neighbors suspicious, Andi and Bruce use every invention they have to avoid anyone discovering "who let the dogs in."

MADAGASCAR 2

The sequel of the first movie, the New York Zoo Animals, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo, still stranded on Madagascar, started to leave the island. All of a sudden, they landed in the wilderness of Africa. There, Alex soon meets the rest of his family and starting to have trouble communicating with them after much of his time at the Central Park Zoo.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3

'High School Musical 3: Senior Year' finds high school seniors Troy and Gabriella facing the prospect of separation as they head off to different colleges. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future. With incredible new music and exciting dance numbers designed to take maximum advantage of the big screen, this motion picture extravaganza delivers plenty of high-energy entertainment from East High's talented ensemble. -
