From one family business, to another, after 49 years of operating the Waverley Cinema Pinewood, the Jean family are now retiring and Showbiz Cinemas will assume control.
We thank all our loyal patrons, local clubs and groups for choosing to enjoy the magic of the movies with us here at Waverley Cinema.
We recognise and appreciate the enormous loyalty of our wonderful staff over the decades, many of whom were, and have been with us for 20, 30 and over 40 years, we've employed entire families, watched as their children grew up, worked with us, and moved forth for different careers.
Many of our current team will be staying and joining the new Showbiz Cinemas Waverley, so there will still be some familiar faces at Box Office and Candy Bar!
As sad as it is to leave this fantastic industry, we are excited and proud to know we are leaving it in the safe hands of Showbiz Cinemas as of May 1.
